I thought I would share with you my favourite DIY recipe for a face and body scrub. I made this scrub for the first time this past winter and I LOVE it. My skin dries out so bad during the winter months, especially my face. It seemed like no matter how much moisturizer I would put on my face I would always have dry skin patches, which I hated because my foundation would always cling to it. I have tried a few different exfoliators and face washes but I really love the results from my DIY scrub! The best part is that you probably have all the ingredients already in your house. I put together used coffee grounds, honey, and lemon juice.
Coffee Grounds: The coffee grounds act as a great natural exfoliator. They are the perfect consistency for a scrub and the grounds stimulate circulation, which gives your skin a natural and bright glow. It’s also great to be able to do something with your used grounds instead of just tossing them out!
Lemon Juice: Lemon juice is loaded with vitamins, and has so many health benefits. The acidity from the juice also acts as a natural exfoliator removing dead skin cells from your face and body. Lemon juice is also known to help cure acne, and help even out your skin tone from acne scarring. So it definitely doesn’t hurt to add more lemon juice into your life.
Honey: Raw honey is technically the best, but I still think all honey has magical benefits. Honey has a lot of antibacterial properties that work wonders for your skin. It can help your skin in numerous ways including: moisturizing, clarifying, treat acne, prevent acne, and boost your complexion.
