Why do we go through life comparing ourselves to others when everyone is so uniquely different? There’s a saying that goes a flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it, it just blooms. It’s easy to feel lost, to get down, and to constantly question why you life isn’t as good as everybody else’s. But it all comes down to perception. How you perceive yourself, and how you perceive others.
Everyone faces hardship, and everyone has struggles. The funny part is, we don’t see everyone else’s tough times, we just see their good ones. We live through and experience our own hard times but it doesn’t make our grass any less green. When you start to focus on the positive and start counting your blessings your world will begin to change. You are unique and beautiful in your own way and your happiness is in your hands.
So stop and smell your own flowers, and recognize how green your own grass really is.
